Order Kentucky Driving History Records Online

By Rob Wells

Having trouble remembering exactly when you received your last driving ticket? If it was within the last three years, there's a Web site from the Transportation Cabinet that can help.

The site allows anyone to request driving history records (DHR) for Kentucky drivers. You can check on driver status, license expiration, driving restrictions, and traffic violations for just $3.00 per record, and you can look up as many as 50 records at a time ($3.00 each). A Kentucky three-year driving record does not contain any of the driver’s personal information such as address, sex, date of birth, and social security number. A three-year driving record is a public record in accordance with KRS 186.018.

How long does it take to get your information? Not days or weeks but minutes. A three-year driving record will be available for viewing and printing immediately after you make your request. A record of your order will be
e-mailed to the address you specify for confirmation and the driving history record you request will be available for 2 weeks on the site.

From January 2001 to February 2002, over 20,000 orders and over 38,000 individual records were placed on the drivers history record Web site. The site was developed by Quilogy, a third party vendor.
