What's your best guess? Would you say that more Kentuckians have called
in by phone or visited the Web site to put their name on the "no
call" telemarketing list from the Office
of the Kentucky Attorney General? It's not even close. Here are
the numbers since House Bill 47 was signed by Governor Patton on March
6, 2002:
- Over
178,000 Kentuckians have visited the Kentucky Attorney General's Web
site to put their name on the no call list so far.
- In that
same time frame, 46,000 people have called by phone to put their name
on the list.
- Since
the list was created in 1998, over 347,000 Kentuckians have signed
up.
- The
no call law goes into effect in mid July, 2002
