enrollment in the Kentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS)
has grown by nearly 50 percent since 1998. The majority of students
are women; the average age of a KCTCS student is 28.
While the single most popular area of study is liberal arts/baccalaureate
transfer, KCTCS has created more than 700 new occupational/technical
programs since 1998.
