Student enrollment in KCTCS has grown by nearly 50 percent since 1998 (45,000 students), from 45,000 to 67,000 students in the Fall of 2002..

Student enrollment in the Kentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS) has grown by nearly 50 percent since 1998. The majority of students are women; the average age of a KCTCS student is 28. While the single most popular area of study is liberal arts/baccalaureate transfer, KCTCS has created more than 700 new occupational/technical programs since 1998.
