New Searchable Database Puts Campaign Finance
Data Online
The
Kentucky Registry of Election Finance (KREF) has just rolled out a user-friendly
online searchable database allowing you to access campaign finance data
right on their Web site. With the help of the Governor's Office for
Technology (GOT), they've designed the database with maximum flexibility,
allowing you to view information from financial statements filed for
candidates, organizations and contributor. Users can also access Help,
contact the Kentucky Registry of Election Finance and research Frequently
Asked Questions (FAQ).

Candidate by Name
This search
option enables the user to access contribution data relating to a specific
Candidate. The Last Name of the candidate is required, and entry of
all other information such as First Name, Election Date, Party, etc.,
is optional.
Candidate by
Election Date
This search option enables the user to access contribution data for
a specific Election Date. The Election Date is required, and entry of
all other information such as Office Sought is optional. You can narrow
your search criteria by defining Party and Spending Option as well.
Organization
This search option allows you to access contribution data for a specific
organization just by entering the organization name and type, for instance
campaign committee, or executive committee.
Contributor
The Contributor Search enables the user to access contribution data
associated with a contributor. You can search by contributor name, contribution
amount and/or date of contribution.
