New Website Will Help Students In Kentucky
"Go Higher"

5-2-03

By this time next year, a "Go Higher" website will be launched in Kentucky
to help learners of all ages plan, prepare and pay for college.

Middle and high school students will be able to explore career options and plan their coursework to prepare them for the right college major. Students will be able to apply electronically to college using e-transcripts. They can search and apply for scholarships and financial aid online. The site will also offer virtual campus tours. Designed to promote college-going, the Website will be supported by the "U CAN" electronic guidance office, a network of call centers and academic advisors.

Go Higher is an initiative of the Kentucky Higher Education Assistance Authority, the Council on Postsecondary Education (including the KYVU), the Department of Education, the Association of Independent Kentucky Colleges and Universities, the Kentucky Community and Technical College System and all Kentucky's public universities.
