Election Night Results Web site Getting Popular

November 5, 2004

Kentucky's Election Night Tally System Web site is quickly becoming the one source where media and citizens click to get the latest election returns. The site had over a million hits from 6 p.m. until midnight on election night. Preparation and planning for this year's election was conducted by a joint task force from the Commonwealth Office of Technology and the State Board of Elections. Staff members began work at 4:00 a.m. election day and continued late into the night until all results had been captured from all the county clerk's offices.
